This role sits within our Global Services and User Platforms portfolio, whose purpose is to think holistically and help improve the overarching experience for our customers. They are  responsible for parts of the product that impact multiple parts of the experience and aim to drive consistency within the experience.

As a Product Manager within the Global Search team, you will be responsible for driving our search priorities and problems to solve, enabling our customers to easily discover and use the parts of Xero most valuable to them.

You will partner with other teams to deliver customer value into our search experience to ensure it is done in a way that takes into account the broader customer experience

You will:

    • Grow to understand the search space well, both in regards to customer problems and also the technical challenges and opportunities in this space
    • Help deliver the highest value opportunities through defining scope & a roadmap with the search team
    • Work with other related product teams to understand their products, objectives and look for opportunities to help Search scale out further or address other needs
    • Bridge UX, technical and business worlds as you lead strong and productive relationships with global stakeholders to deliver on market needs and priorities, and evangelise the product vision
    • Work closely with Business Analysts and engineering to deliver quality software with amazing user experiences that solve real customer problems

We are looking for people with:

    • Previous experience as a product manager and experience collaborating with a diverse stakeholder group to realise business outcomes
    • Previous experience as a product manager for technical products and / or services
    • Experience in driving large scale technical improvements to a product and/or service
    • Demonstrated experience in defining product roadmaps and long term planning
    • A solid track record of addressing customer needs through innovative use of technology
    • Ability to understand the technical & translate it to outcomes for customers
    • Love for building quality software that customers love and a deep understanding of design thinking and performance analytics
    • Open and effective communication style
