We are looking for an experienced marketing leader to help us spread the Airtasker message across the world and empower more people to realise the full value of their skills. As a marketplace, user generated content, liquidity and network effects are at the heart of our product and the value that we deliver to our customers. Effective, scalable marketing doesn’t just grow Airtasker’s business, it makes our product better for all users.

As our CMO and a senior member of Airtasker’s leadership team, you will be responsible for working alongside our CEO, COO, Board and Product leadership team to build and spin the flywheels that make Airtasker a better product for more people in more places. You will relish the challenge of creating a repeatable engine for igniting and scaling new Airtasker marketplacesfrom scratch in cities all across the world.

Supporting you in your mission will be a growing full-stack marketing teamin both Sydney and Manila, from Brand and PR through to digital marketing and SEO channels. You will have built and taken such a team to scale

(50+ people) and greatness before, and are responsible for doing it again here at Airtasker.

You are an advocate of evidence-based marketing, a student of modern content and growth marketingpractices, and are well versed in creating a holistic marketing strategy across multiple channelsand in deep collaboration with Product leadership. You are obsessed with understanding and connecting with users, current and future. Large budgets don’t scare you, but you prefer to be held accountable for the measurable valueyou deliver rather than the money you spend. Your approach to marketing success is to try new things, take calculated risks, start small, experiment, and iterate. You are adept at forming value-accretive partnerships.

You have ideally worked before in an international product setting. You are an effective communicator, a thoughtful organisational leader, and a skilled and compassionate manager and coach. This isn’t your first go round: you’ve done this sort of thing before and have the portfolio and references to back it up.

What you'll do

  • Develop a marketing strategy, capital allocation (budgets) and targets for brand and direct marketing across both AU and international markets.
  • Guide marketing-related OKRs to align with strategy and targets, then support and guide marketing-led teams to deliver on those OKRs.
  • Hire, train and manage an elite brand and multi-channel marketing team.
  • Embed process, tooling, and culture around quantitative, evidence-based marketing practice.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional peers to best deliver integrated product/marketing initiatives.
