We have a rapidly growing team, led by a passionate executive team with extensive expertise in cyber security, ICT, engineering, communications and Defence.

About the role

This is a genuinely unique career opportunity. We do work that no one else in Australia is doing. As an embedded software engineer within Tactical Communications Security, you will work with a team of mature engineering professionals, who are enabling a new era of secure communications technologies. The team is multidisciplinary and works across the complete lifecycle for our products including industrial design (mechanical and schematic), PCB, firmware, software and FPGA. You’ll be doing embedded development in a real time environment including signal processing in the RF domain and the development of waveforms for software defined radio. You will be working to develop the next generation of sovereign C4 systems.

Who are you?

You are an experienced embedded software engineer who thrives on the challenge of breaking new ground. You will bring experience with C/C++, Matlab and VHDL. Your experience with FPGA and DSP is also highly desirable. Our work is constantly evolving and innovating, so you’ll be comfortable working in a cutting edge environment which challenges the traditional engineering status quo.

Here are just some of the ways we make coming to work easier and more enjoyable

PLUS, we have the office perks: air hockey table, foosball, cake (so much cake) and social activities.

We want you to enjoy being at work, and take time to have fun with your colleagues and relax when you can.

What makes us come to work every day? The work we do and who we do it with.

Penten embraces diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.
