The Role

Fleet is an agile, next generation connectivity company. Our mission is to Connect Everything using cutting-edge communications and space technologies to maximise the resource efficiency of human civilisation and enable the next industrial revolution with our free, ubiquitous connectivity platform.

We are looking for a motivated individual to lead our Marketing team and drive marketing initiatives across the organisation. You will be responsible for leading a small team and will work closely together with the sales and operations team. However, being a start-up it is only natural that you will work closely with the entire business to build an understanding of what we do and how to best position and market our products and services.

We are looking for a storyteller who can articulate product specifications and features into clear benefits for our customers in order to increase awareness and familiarity with the Fleet brand.



  • Work with all parts of the business to create a succinct and clear message to our customers and partners that provides answers to the ‘why’ and the ‘how’

  • Establish a marketing strategy tailored towards our target audience and in accordance with our growth and expansion plans

  • Ensure a unified approach and a common messaging of our brand and products across the company’s various information channels

  • Drive national and international marketing programs, activities, and initiatives to increase engagement, brand awareness and sales

  • Own, manage and analyse our lead generation funnel and growth metrics

  • Implement marketing tools and software required to meet deliverables

  • Manage a small marketing team


  • Experience developing and managing marketing initiatives targeted towards energy, mining and utilities sector that support the generation of leads and conversion of sales

  • Proven experience in brand management with the ability to develop and execute strong marketing communication plans

  • An interest in technology with the ability to understand and communicate technical information in a non-technical way

  • Strong skills in Content Marketing, Analytics, Paid Marketing, Social Media, and Search Marketing

  • Good understanding of sales cycles and deal complexity

  • Flawless communication skills, both written and oral

  • High level presentation, negotiation and relationship building skills

  • Customer focused and commercially driven to deliver results

  • Demonstrated team leadership experience

  • A degree in business, marketing, or communications
