Fleet Space Technologies is looking to appoint a Product Manager to lead our internal product development from requirements gathering, through to implementation and support. We are seeking someone with excellent problem-solving skills who can establish a good understanding of our customers, our industry, and the general market to help identify opportunities for new solutions. The Product Manager is responsible for identifying relevant requirements, translating those requirements into defined objectives, and managing the complete development lifecycle. 

This position reports directly into the executive team and will be responsible for reporting on development progress as well as providing input to business strategy from a product offering and solutions perspective.

The Product Manager will directly manage a team of software engineers and will be required to demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to build a cohesive product development team with focus on adding value to our customers.

  • Responsible for end-to-end software based product development.

  • Take ownership of the product road map ensuring it meets with Fleet’s strategy and wider industry trends.

  • Help identify opportunities for the business.

  • Gather requirements for new product development through conversations with internal and external stakeholders – then defining and documenting those requirements.

  • Capture feedback from users for upgrades and improvements to existing products.

  • Provide expertise on how to improve on products as well as procedures and processes.

  • Break down product development into manageable tasks and manage the product development lifecycle.

  • Accountable for testing efforts to ensure a fully functional product is released for delivery.

  • Plan, communicate and execute delivery and launch schedules of new products.

  • Managing and building a small team of software engineers – provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance.

  • Provide reports and updates to the business on development progress.

  • Drive the Agile methodology across the business.


  • Strong experience with Software as a Service

  • Solid background in software based product development.

  • Strong knowledge around products and features that is valued by users.

  • Good knowledge around user experience and design.

  • Ability to break down product development into tasks and delegate and track through to completion.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate.

  • Experience working for a start-up business.

  • The ability to build maturity and implement processes suitable for a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders on all levels.

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field
